Need assistance with the Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Hero Q-Code D6 and yellow DRAM indicator?
Hi everyone. This build started after the launch of the Ryzen 3000. It comes with the following specs: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero (non-WI-FI) x570 board, AMD Ryzen 3900X, EVGA XC Ultra NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti, Corsair RM850i power supply, G.SKILL TridentZ series 32GB (4x8GB) at 3600MHz, Noctua NHD-15s CPU cooler, and a Samsung 970 Plus M.2 NVME SSD. Recently, I couldn't get my PC to boot into BIOS or show any output. All fans are running at full speed, with LED indicators flashing and AURA RGB lighting on the motherboard. I updated the BIOS using a USB flash drive in March 2020. The BIOS Q code displays D6 error with a yellow LED indicating a DRAM issue. I've tried installing the 2080 Ti in another working machine. I re-seated the graphics card, booted with one memory module, shuffled the modules, discharged the capacitors by holding the start button, and swapped the PSUs—now it works. I'm unsure if the problem lies with my Ryzen 3900X or the X570 board. Please help me troubleshoot. Thanks!
