I'll check out the video first and figure out my next steps. I'm still setting up Windows and other programs, so I won't be doing any BIOS work yet.

I have two videos ready to help clarify the topic. One offers a detailed explanation, while the other provides a more casual overview. Let me know which you'd prefer!

77c offers excellent performance for an AIDA64 setup with a 7800X3D. Running it continuously could be reliable for many years.

The thermal design is quite minimal for the Ryzen 7000 series.

Apologies for the oversight, but it seems people have successfully implemented it. I'm running -30 across all cores and stability is solid. I'm unsure if it's just the CPU or the motherboard plays a role. Both my 7700x and 7800x3d achieve this, though the 7800x3d doesn't see much improvement—it's already a tightly controlled processor optimized for specific tasks. Don't worry if you only reach -20 or -25.

I’ve seen comparable outcomes on my 7800X-3D with PBO (targeting a maximum of +200 MHz on my motherboard), power limits turned off, All-Core curve tuned at -25mV, and cooling handled by DeepCool Assassin-IV using Kryonaut paste. This performance is largely due to the X3D chip’s minimal power consumption. After 30 minutes of CineBench 2024 looping, I reach a peak temperature between 77 and 78°C. In real tasks—like exporting or processing videos—I’ve never observed the chip exceed 75°C. The All-Core frequency consistently stays within 4925-4950MHz, fluctuating about 10MHz depending on ambient temperature and cooling conditions. Regarding stability, everything is fine; I update my BIOS every three months since the 7800X-3D overheating problem emerged, keeping AGESA current. I’ve been optimizing this setup continuously for about 24/7 since the PC was built roughly 15-16 months ago. The only break was when I discovered the CPU issues, removed the overclocks, reset to defaults, and even lowered voltage limits per advice until the official BIOS fix was applied.

I'm not the last one with a Ryzen 3900X—it's been a while since I pushed it that hard. The 7000 series feels completely different now.

@GuiltySpark_ while I’d likely agree with you, I’m part of an AMD Ryzen Facebook group that’s led by someone with a YouTube channel. He’s been testing and working with AMD Ryzen CPUs for years and has even suggested optimizing my CPU to get the best performance.

It seems you're wondering about temperature changes on your 7800X. You mentioned getting accustomed to lower temperatures over the years and were concerned when your 7800X3D reached around 77°C during AIDA64.
