Consider upgrading to Windows 7 if you're comfortable with the changes, but keep in mind the differences from Windows 10. On your old PC, you might enjoy the simpler experience it offered.

Decide freely whether to rely on an unofficial operating system. I wouldn't recommend it for a primary computer these days. Be mindful of letting sentimentality cloud your judgment—your perception could mislead you about how impressive something once was. Using it again, like Windows 7, might erase some of that nostalgic feeling you had.

I prefer Windows 9—it’s my go-to system and it works great. It offers all the benefits of Windows 10 (without DirectX 12, at least) and has a pleasant Win7 appearance. You’ll never realize it’s not Win7!
