Configured my initial NAS successfully, but it boots into TrueNAS Core unless another external drive is connected besides the boot drive. Various SATA ports and hard drives aren't working properly. It launches to the Asus screen to access BIOS, yet fails to perform any actions there.

Check if these new drives are brand new or refurbished. Ensure they’re fully erased before use. A malfunctioning HDD might prevent your system from starting.

They were recently acquired and had just been cleaned and reorganized prior to being stored in the NAS.

Ensure your ports are working correctly. Verify the boot sequence and run each drive separately (connect one at a time).
