Hello, I'm working with a laptop that has both an SSD and an HDD. I recently swapped out the SSD because I plan to install Windows on the HDD instead. I've tried setting up Windows on the HDD but it's not working, and I can't access my work files. When I try to choose where to install Windows, I select the HDD and it shows an error: "unable to create a partition or locate an already existing one." I'm looking for more details in the installation logs. How can I resolve this issue and get Windows up and running?
I searched online for roughly an hour and discovered a guide that showed how to create a partition using the command prompt. After that, I replaced the initial partition, removed it, and then installed Windows as usual—I fixed the issue myself. Thanks for your help!
