I created a folder on my secondary HDD for my programs. The name was "Programmes," but it looks like it should be "Programs" in UK spelling. When I try to rename it, some programs stop working and the uninstall page can't locate them. If I uninstall one, it says it can't find the program. Would you like to remove this program from the list? I want to rename the folder without breaking any installed programs.

In short, renaming the folder broke everything because the shortcuts pointed to the wrong folder named "Programmes" instead of the correct one. The UK really messes with spelling, and calling something an "apartment" as a "flat" doesn’t make sense. It’s confusing and hard to fix.

Maybe I’ll have to accept it.

You can edit each program in Regedit to resolve issues, though it’s a hassle. Using correct British English spelling is ideal. Americans often struggle with the word "colour."

I don't understand why you use "zed" or "h" in this way. The words should flow naturally, and we should keep the language clear without unnecessary letters.
