Hey everyone, I was about to restart my Windows 10 but the power cut caused an error. Now I’m trying again and think reinstalling might be the best option. Do I need a new activation key? If using a recovery tool, should I pick Update or create a USB for another PC?

Avoid this approach. I recommend utilizing option 1 and applying it via UEFI.

Open the Get Help app, enter your key, and note that it doesn't activate after reinstalling your system due to corruption. They will assist you and give you an override code for successful activation.

Choose the installation option that matches your needs, such as setting up a new environment or updating existing software.

When the window appears asking for a Windows key, do you select "Don't have key" or try entering the same key you used before?

If the previous setup was enabled, it will function without further input.
