Hi, I just replaced my motherboard after buying a new R7 5800X. Since I need a new motherboard anyway, should I just get a refund for the CPU and go with an AMD Ryzen 5? I was hoping this would make me better for gaming and give me more flexibility later. If I decide to upgrade again, what would be my next choice? You have flexibility in choosing your setup. A used B550 board can be a good option if you're looking to save, though purchasing a brand new one means a different price range altogether. Personally, I’d prefer keeping the CPU.
