Need assistance with RAM? Let me know what you're experiencing!
I obtained Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3600 with an RGB 3200 MHz clock speed (supports up to 3200 MHz). My ASUS B450F needs RAM clocks at 3200 MHz. I’m trying to set the RAM to 3200 MHz to avoid black screen restarts. I’ve looked through many videos and guides but haven’t found clear instructions. Could you provide exact steps or numbers for configuring it? Thanks!
The Ryzen Memory Calculator didn't meet your needs. Buildzoid shared effective configurations in this clip, tailored to a specific RAM type. He provides solid ranges for timing and subtiming adjustments, along with reliable "safe" values—especially useful for B-die builds. The guide begins around the 20-minute mark.
With the precise part numbers and matching settings, would the stability match the other kit?
It varies based on the subtimings, voltage, and other memory configurations you're using. If they follow an XMP profile or default settings, the main timings might not be reliable. Also, the Ryzen 3600 can handle speeds above 3200, which is more than just a baseline. The 3600 works best when your Infinity Fabric runs at its standard speed (1800MHz).
I’m experiencing frequent black screen restarts again. I’ve also experimented with higher voltages, like 1.4v and 1.425v.
Are you certain the issue stems from your memory, or is there another factor at play? I’d check that your BIOS is up to date. Some B450 boards do have problems with Ryzen 3rd generation chips, though I’m not sure if yours matches.
