could we avoid this solution altogether? implementing a unified multichannel system would simplify things and make deployment simpler.

The connection will likely remain unstable, making any attempts to improve it ineffective.

Your Wi-Fi is handling about 50MB while your Ethernet connection is getting 90MB. The issue might be due to the router's half-duplex setting, which limits its speed to a full gigabit.

so you want to combine wifi and wired? Gigabit is only full duplex, so how are you getting half duplex for gigabit? What is your network diagram? What link are you trying to spee dup.

No, through Wi-Fi it works in half duplex, while the wired connection is full duplex.

You're looking for a quicker Wi-Fi speed. Could you share more details about your setup? What router are you using?

Yes, I need a quicker Wi-Fi link similar to Ethernet, but with your Hauwei B525 only offering half-duplex over Wi-Fi. That’s why I’m considering PFSSLens.

WiFi operates in half-duplex mode by design, which is the standard approach and shared among devices. What kind of clients are you using? They might be restricting performance here. PFSense won’t boost your speed; you’ll need improved access points for better results. Consider a UniFi AP-HD series or a premium consumer router if you’re aiming for faster connectivity.
