I attempt to set up PF Sense using a USB drive, but it gets stuck. This occurs once I accept the licensing agreement. Assistance needed? Thank you.

What device are you using? Is this the newest model? Have you attempted a fresh installation? Did you use another USB drive?

It doesn’t seem to be assisting much here. Let’s aim for something more recent. FreeBSD hasn’t performed well with older hardware like this. I’d suggest considering another router distribution unless you’re using PFense; OpenSense would be a better fit, and you can simplify things further.

Yes, they offer support for VLANs and web caching.

yep and yep. But do you really need webcaching, it often doesn't help much in a small network or home from my testing. Are you trying to vlan all the lan + wan + other from the single laptop port? Id just get more usb nics, esp as its only 100mbit. Lots of low end nics on laptops also just don't support vlans.

I'm configuring VLANs for my Windows Server 2016 to improve transfer speeds, otherwise the router becomes overwhelmed with routing decisions.

You prefer direct multichannel connections instead of network bonding. No need for VLANs or routers that support them—switches handle everything.
