Need assistance with PC gaming sound settings.
I hope this is the right place, I didn’t find one focused on headgear audio. A friend sent me here, saying he received great help from them, so I’ll ask my question.
I’ve been using decent headphones for my CoD gaming, but over time they’ve started to bother my ears and the sides of my head. I’m looking for a better pair of earbuds to use instead. I know I won’t get the same sound quality as my headphones, but I want to move away from them.
Usually, for most of my non-shooter games I use my condenser mic with external speakers, but with shooters I can’t do that.
What recommendations do you have for a good earbud set that delivers the best audio for Call of Duty style games? I’ll likely use them on my mobile devices for music and watching content on my tablet. I’d also like a slightly longer cable so I can move freely without having to pull the cord tight.
Wouldn't think buds are suitable for long-term use; the main concerns are ear health, earwax buildup, grime, and bacteria introduction, which could actually be worse. Ear and scalp irritation from using earphones often stems from small cups or excessive pressure from headbands around the ears and sides. The Sennheiser HD 280 pro might be a better choice—it has soft pads, decent sound, and regular use is fine for watching TV shows. Trying different demo sets at a hi-fi store could help, though it's uncertain how comfortable they'll feel after just a short trial. They might offer advice or show videos highlighting comfort features.
