Need assistance with overclocking? Let me guide you through it.
Hello gamers, I'm facing an issue with my PC. The overclocking isn't functioning properly. My setup includes a Phanteks ENTHUO PRO motherboard, an MSI Godlike X99 processor, an Intel i7 6800K, AORUS 1080 Ti graphics card, a Corsair Hydro H100i V2 cooler, and a 64GB RAM with 4x16GB modules. I'm using the GSKILL Trident Z RGB 3600MHZ and C17 19 19 39 settings. The HDD is a Seahawk Survival 10TB M.2 with Samsung 950 Pro 512GB, connected via an ASUS Hyper M.2 PCIe adapter and PSU from Corsair HX850i. I've swapped the fans for a 200mm Noctua model and the CPU cooler fans. Overclocking only seems to work in MSI OC mode. Previously, BIOS overclocking succeeded up to 3200MHz, but Intel Extreme doesn't support higher speeds. Every time I try, it crashes or causes a bootloop. Can someone help me with overclocking the RAM and CPU? I plan to upgrade the CPU from 6800K to 6950X. Thanks, Red Star Guerilla!
