I have a 300mbps fiber connection from Airtel, but the router only reaches one room. I connected it to a TP-link Archer C-60 near the center of my house. The router works throughout the house, yet the speed from the Archer is only 80-90 mbps. As a beginner, I need advice on how to get full 300mbps from the second router.

The device features a single 10/100 Mbps LAN port, which explains its performance limits. It doesn't support Gigabit connections, capping speeds at approximately 90 Mbps.

It's surprisingly frequent on SOHO routers.

I had a laptop user who didn’t have any Ethernet ports, otherwise I would have handled this

look for models with USB 3.0 or higher ports, Wi-Fi 6 support, and solid range in your area.

They're clearly leaning into the idea of all wireless solutions. It's disappointing since many scenarios still need a wired setup.

remains bound at 100mbps because the WAN connection also uses a 10/100 interface.

If both gadgets can handle WDS, it would be the easiest method to retransmit the signal and avoid the constraints of the physical connection. Speed gains might not be huge, but it should get past the 100Mbps cap at least slightly.

I have two choices for you, each offering good value for the cost.
Option one: Xioami 4A (2 Gigabit LAN ports with dual-band Wi-Fi) – https://www.amazon.in/Dualband-1200Mbps-...B09MKG4ZCM
Option two: Dlink AX1500 (affordable Wi-Fi 6 router with minor trade-offs) – https://www.amazon.in/D-Link-R15-Gigabit...B09GFXGGZD
