Does Coax provide the internet connection, so do I just need one MOCA adapter? I have a coax cable close to my PC.

This refers to a cable modem. You connect an ISP-compatible modem and can either use it directly or link it to a router.

You’ll likely require two devices. Some cable modems come with a built-in MoCA injector, but you should verify the details for your model. Otherwise, you’ll need a router/modem injector and another one at the other side.

Yes, you can connect a router in one part of your home and link it to a device at the coax port nearby.

Both spaces include a coax connection with a shared location, and at least one of them contains the modem and router—this setup allows MoCA to function.

It's referred to as a 100-foot Ethernet cable, right? What's your goal? You can use long cables, but you don't want to worry about setting up a wireless connection between your modem and router—it's a messy idea.

Do you possess a combined router and modem setup, or are you using only a standard cable modem?

I have a coax near my desk linked to the internet line for my router. The router is about 80 feet away from walls (since the house is rented). We need fast speeds—500 Mbps down and 100 Mbps up. I heard MOCA adapters could help, but I’m curious if there’s a better solution.

Using MoCA is currently the top option for me in this situation. I receive gigabit speeds straight to my media center. Feel free to ask if you need any adjustments to my setup.
