Hey everyone, I recently realized Minecraft is only utilizing 2GB of my memory despite having 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz. With my i5 4460 @3.20GHz and a GTX 1060 6GB card, I’m getting about 40 FPS even with all settings turned up. I’m sure there’s more I can do. Could anyone help me figure this out? Thanks!

It might be due to large file sizes or many data chunks. Reducing the number of chunks can ease the CPU workload. Try lowering the frame rate slightly and compare the results.
adjusting cpu settings... 40fps seems fine. if you want, tweak allocation in the launcher (I can't pinpoint exact spots, I don't use the official one). for smoother minecraft play: set your viewing distance to 8-10 chunks—more than that won't help much.
