I made several changes to your MacBook Pro. I upgraded the SSD to 500GB, performed a clean installation, and disabled the AMD GPU using the official MacOS method. I also turned it off because I don’t want issues later. Now, your Mac won’t shut down when you close the lid and the screen stays at maximum brightness. Anyone have a fix for this?
These devices often encounter problems with their dGPUs. Turning off the dGPU might also affect certain files that macOS isn't pleased with. Consider performing an SMC reset and a NVRAM refresh.
Performing that action will reverse the GPU disable setting, but it may cause the system to start in a faulty state. You'll need to remove the drivers for the dGPU to properly disable it.
