Hi! I'm trying to fix my keyboard issues while playing games. It works fine for a short time, then suddenly it stops responding. Pressing letters makes the character move, but after repeating them 2-10 times without pressing anything, it just stops working. I've tried using a wired and Bluetooth keyboard in different ports, uninstalled drivers, reinstalled Windows 11, but the problem keeps coming back. It happens mostly during intense gaming sessions or when FPS drops. I thought it was GPU or driver-related, so I went back to the old driver, but it still doesn't work. I'm really confused and frustrated. Any advice would be great!

Reviewed the peripheral list and recommend checking the Mobo drivers. Look for additional input devices in the device manager—there might be leftover installations. Clarify which games are involved; are they demanding heavy resources or can they run smoothly?

I usually enjoy playing Overwatch, Valorant, BG3, GTA V, League of Legends and Cyberpunk. You have a 1080p screen if you need it too—probably won’t be an issue since 4070 should cover it well. I’ll attempt to update my Mobo once I’m back home.

I was considering whether the issue might be connected to CPU or GPU load. It seems odd that it only appears in games, not elsewhere. A fun test could involve running Cinebench and a GPU benchmark while typing in Notepad to observe changes. The Mobo driver might be involved since it could relate to USB or Bluetooth controllers.

If the issue appears only in games, it likely involves something exclusive to gaming environments. For instance, a gamepad might be connected to your PC and accidentally left on, or a mouse/keyboard could have special settings for play that differ from normal use. Some devices include control programs (like Logitech options) that alter their behavior during gameplay. You may want to turn off such software if it's installed. Good luck!

Haha I made sure that the only thing connected is my mouse and keyboard! I will try this on my hyperx and see if it will work. Thank you!

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. I believe I discovered the issue—likely due to the overlay affecting FPS and keyboard control. It’s strange, but I appreciate your help and advice!
