You just needed to focus on the OBS part of the process. The video didn’t cover hardware setup or BIOS changes, so you likely didn’t need quick sync drivers or extra BIOS settings.

For a dedicated graphics card, the Intel GPU is turned off, making it unavailable. When using only onboard graphics without a dedicated GPU, choose quick sync instead of Nvidia NVENC.

Besides turning on the feature in OBS, ensure your dedicated GPU is properly connected and recognized. Verify drivers are up to date and that power settings allow full performance. Check for any software conflicts or background processes interfering.

Turn on the built-in display settings in the system settings. For a dedicated Nvidia GPU, use NVENC to offload rendering tasks.

I own a Nvidia but doubt NVENC reduces CPU load and quick sync will be better. On my Z77A G45, I’m limited to choosing between PCIe graphics or integrated, and using integrated doesn’t let the screen show up with the 770. Maybe an IGPU multi-monitor solution could help?

NVENC utilizes your GPU for encoding the video. Reduce your frame rate by 10% at most.

Many BIOS settings allow enabling the IGP via PCI-E by default. Windows should also set up the Intel GPU, ensuring you use the newest drivers and consider installing a dedicated GPU.

Depending on the graphics version you're using, that's the thing. Also, to avoid crashes while encoding, you'll need to switch to a different virtual display. Let me know if anyone needs assistance.
