Need assistance with installing Optifine?

I play a lot of Minecraft and want to install Optifine. My issue is that even after uninstalling and reinstalling Java multiple times, I can't reach the installation screen for the file. I've made sure it opens with Java SE Binary or without its name. When I click on the file, a small box appears briefly and then disappears, leaving nothing. Is there something I'm missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Downloading jarfix is an option, or you might prefer using the lunar client. It provides extremely high frame rates if you require assistance installing all the mods. You can initiate a discussion to get started.

Would you like me to take some photos? Also, if you really want to use OptiFine, think about using the Badlion client or Lunar client. Lunar offers better FPS and a cleaner look. Badlion just has more mods and versions. I use Lunar by default because no one needs all the ADLION mods, like MLG Cobweb.

I'm facing the same issue—it looks like the installer can't open with Java anymore. This occurred after I downloaded a shader from that site. Someone could help?
