I own a Ryzen 3 1200, GTX 1650 GDDR6, 8GB RAM at 2666 MHz CL17, and 16GB RAM at 3200 MHz CL15. I’m considering upgrading to 16GB RAM with 3200 MHz CL15 and a modern CPU under $100. The motherboard is an ASRock B450M HDV R4.0. I’ll need to update the BIOS for any newer Ryzen 3 models.

I suggest the Ryzen 5 3600, priced at 118—it's a solid offer and should work well with your RAM. After a BIOS update it should operate smoothly. On Amazon it's even more affordable than the 3100 right now due to the current promotion. https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-3600-12...120&sr=1-3

The 5600G is currently at 124, and your board can handle the 5000 series with an update as well. https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-5600G-1...C90&sr=1-2
