I understand you're unsure about these terms, but would a Phenom II X4 955 cause an issue with a GTX 970 (4GB RAM)? It seems like you're wondering if it's a suitable pairing.

Which inquiry? Is this pairing effective or could it cause a slowdown?

Absolutely, that works well. It’s the only option available, and both EOLs were around at the time. This could create a bottleneck for that card—any platform other than Intel would be better.

The Phenom II would run slightly quicker than the pre-eye 7. A noticeable jump between generations. Early i7 and higher will likely hit 4.6ghz with good air cooling. For those wanting options, a budget of 2700K to 4790K could be reasonable. If you're aiming for newer tech, investing in a first-gen Ryzen setup might offer better value. A B450 board running DDR4, fast SATA M.2 and USB support would provide ample upgrade potential.

They perform similarly, but they lag behind many current applications. What do you aim to achieve? Which sections are you working on so far?
