Hello, I own an Acer Nitro N50-610 prebuilt and wanted to upgrade my GPU to a RTX 3060. I purchased a 3060 and a 550W PSU but soon realized my PC uses an unusual Acer OEM motherboard that doesn’t have standard connectors like 24-pin or 8-pin. Instead, it uses different cables labeled P(Number). Since I started with a GTX 1650, which doesn’t need a PCIe cable, I noticed an unused cable that looks almost like a PCIe connector (labeled P4). Is this a PCIe adapter disguised as something else? My PSU is 500W, and I’m wondering if I can still use it with a motherboard that has regular connectors connected to my 550W PSU. I understand the RTX 3060 can run on a 500W unit, but my main worry is whether it’s safe to proceed or if I should wait for a standard-compatible board.

It's a PCIe power cable, and 500W should work fine. After installation, you can run a stress test to confirm the PSU handles it properly. If issues arise, download the GPU overclocking software and lower the power target.
