Need assistance with Gigabyte Z390 UD?
I just received my new motherboard, Gigabyte Z390 UD, and everything seems to be working properly. However, I’m having trouble using the Fusion RGB app. I can only see the Ambient LED, which is likely because it’s a budget model. I also want to sync my RAM, but the Ambient LED only controls the LEDs connected to the RGB header. Thanks!
See the compatible motherboard options. Gigabyte Z390 UD isn't available. Only Aorus boards work for Z390.
The entry-level boards from Gigabyte usually feature just one static LED, they don’t support RGB builds... Whether the header for RGB control is available depends on the specific model. The RGB Fusion software is not great, but it might function if your board includes RGB headers. Check your manual to confirm its presence.
That Is correct. I will connect for LED to the one header on the motherboard. The Gigabyte decontamination shows a picture of a light strip connected to the header and states " Support RGB Lighting Effect in Full Color. Personalize your next PC rig to your liking by selecting the color of your choice to illuminate the external RGB light strip ." The manual states: LED_C (RGB LED Strip Header) The header can be used to connect a standard 5050 RGB LED strip (12V/G/R/B), with maximum power rating of 2A (12V) and maximum length of 2m. Connect your RGB LED strip to th e header, and then: For how to turn on/off the lights of the LED strip please visit the "Unique Features" webpage of GIGABYTE's website. I can find nothing in any of the documentation showing how they are to be turned on/off etc. There is a "Unique Feature" document which has a section on RGB Fusion (although RGB Fusion of not a supported app for this motherboard), and on Ambient LED which states " This application allows you to enable or specify the lighting mode of the onboard LEDs while in the Windows environment " which appears to only refer to only the LED's installed on the motherboard itself. Can anyone offer any help or guidance on this.
