It might be related to software issues; I'll try those games once I'm back on my R7 1700.

Also, just wondering what fps are you getting atm? And unless you have a 240hz monitor, whats the point of getting any higher?

I run all my games at around 60 frames per second with v-sync enabled. For testing or comparisons, I'll raise the frame rate temporarily to evaluate performance. I don't own monitors that support high refresh rates. On my Ryzen, my FPS varies. The lowest I've recorded is 14, which matches the workload on a single thread. Since it handles less load, FPS increases and usage of the thread decreases until it hits the 60fps limit (similar to looking at the floor).

Consider removing SMT and check if the problem resolves.

I now clearly understand the problem, but have you refreshed your bios to a newer version? Did you install the latest chipset drivers? What power profile are you currently using? I experienced some unusual issues when first setting up the platform, but after updating drivers and bios, those problems disappeared.

That was the only result I saw on Google. I attempted it, but it completely turned off half of my CPU while keeping me stuck on just one core during the game.

The BIOS is the most recent update, and the chipset driver is included with the motherboard. I plan to upgrade it. The power plan is set to Ryzen Balanced.

I'm running in maximum performance settings and not using Ryzen balanced. It's unclear if this affects results, but you might want to test it. I experienced a problem with my old i5 where certain cores entered sleep mode, which resolved in high performance mode.

I updated the chipset drivers and changed to a high-performance power plan, but the issue continues.
