Need assistance with dual cables on your motherboard?
I’m updating my PC’s power connections with some custom braided cablemod cables. I noticed there are two power slots on the top loft section—I think these are EPS ports. I’m used to having just one slot from my previous build and wondered why there’s a second one, since I’ll have the cables ready for both. I’d appreciate any clarification you can provide. Thank you ahead of time!
Generally, just one is usually sufficient, but for both boosting performance and some high-power chips, it can improve stability or be necessary for specific processors. This is like choosing between boards with a 4-pin EPS port versus an 8-pin EPS port.
I own a 10700k but am okay as long as it stays powered without issues, so I’ll connect both when changing cables.
LN2 overclocking refers to increasing the performance of a system by using liquid nitrogen as a coolant. It helps reduce heat buildup, allowing components to run faster without overheating.
