Need assistance with DDR4 laptop RAM? Let me know what you're trying to do!
You're facing an issue with your HP laptop's RAM installation. The problem seems to be related to the slot not properly aligning or the new RAM not fitting correctly. Try these steps:
- Ensure the new RAM is fully seated and aligned before attempting to install.
- Check if the slot is clean and free of debris.
- If possible, use a different RAM stick to confirm compatibility.
- Consult your laptop's manual for specific instructions on adding additional RAM slots.
Verify if any obstruction is present. If none found, attempt applying slight pressure during insertion.
The problem is that it won’t move any more. I can insert both sticks into and out of the other slot, but neither fits here. Here’s a picture of the slot without the stick inside.
I applied a lot of pressure and managed to insert both sticks into the other compartment. Still, they don’t fit into the second slot.
I understand how to insert and remove them quickly, especially in the first position. The second slot prevents further movement, though I haven’t noticed any obstruction when checking closely with a flashlight.
