Hey there! I lost my password to my old account and need some advice on improving my PC performance. I’ve been away from gaming for about a year now, and I’m back to play. My current setup looks good, but I’m still struggling to maintain 144FPS in games like Overwatch, even when using low settings. I don’t want a major upgrade, just something that keeps things smooth at 1080p and 144Hz. I’m thinking about checking my RAM, maybe adding more memory if possible, and seeing if a better GPU would help. My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 1600, the GPU is a GTX 1660-Ti, and I’m using 2400MHz DDR4 RAM. I remember something about boosting RAM speeds in the BIOS, but it’s a bit fuzzy. Any suggestions would be great! Also, I’m looking for something affordable around $400 CAD. Thanks!

XMP is available in the BIOS, but if the motherboard lacks it, manually set the DRAM frequency to 2400. It's a 1660ti with a relatively weak CPU. The most affordable upgrade option is a 3600 or 3600X board, though the X version may run hotter. After that, consider upgrading to a larger GPU and selling the old one to recoup your investment.
