I encounter various inaccuracies during partition adjustments. Restarting the system seems like a straightforward fix. Verify that the 2TB partition isn’t mounted.

Start the GParted live installation and attempt to expand the partition there. Linux utilities typically handle this more effectively, closing gaps where Windows encounters issues.

I handle it this way each time I work with drives and partitions that already have data. It gives me a better sense of security when using live discs, since there are no existing OS partitions on those drives.
