Hello, I’m facing an issue with my brother and me. We both have two PCs running Call of Duty Modern Warfare, each with its own account. When we try to play together, we often get stuck after one match and can’t find a second game. We’re connected via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, but the problem persists. I’ve tried using different setups—one on Ethernet, one on Wi-Fi—but it doesn’t work. I’m not sure what to do next.
You haven't tested this yet, but there are problems with finding matches in Modern Warfare’s matchmaking. If someone in your group has a Nat type of Strict or even Moderate, it can cause issues—ranging from being unable to find a match to needing to cancel and restart the process or even rebuild the whole party after each game. I’d review both your Nat types and follow an online guide to adjust them if needed.
Occasionally both of us are on a balanced setup, other times one is moderate while the other is open, yet I've struggled to launch my native type using forward port forwarding which always triggers a server disconnect. The odd part is that when either of us leaves, we can quickly reconnect and join a game almost immediately—it seems the game resists being part of a group session.
