Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with OC. Apologies if I'm bringing up an outdated subject. Do anyone know if they have the "out.bat" batch file and the "AmdMsrTweaker" mentioned in some posts from around 2014? I own an old PC with an AMD FX 6300 and an ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 motherboard. On another post about AmdMsrTweaker, the shared links are broken or missing, and on others they don't work. Any advice on safe overclocking would be greatly appreciated—raising around 4 or 4.5Ghz could help my old machine run better. Thanks a lot,
Paul

Isn't that board equipped with the G760 chipset? It struggles to manage a standard 6300, especially if you plan to overclock. I recommend skipping this suggestion. Upgrading parts can be costly. More affordable options are available.

It might be functioning now, but only temporarily. The VRMs on that motherboard are weak and lack a heatsink. I've had similar boards before with the same issue—those 760g models were poorly built, especially in terms of power delivery.

They were a mid-range board for CPUs before the FX chips came along. They weren't built to handle the heavy power demands of FX. They're decent boards, but intended for the stars array. I understand you're seeking better options, but I'm afraid this path is likely to fail.

Thanks for the details. I believe I'll move on from the top 3.9 and keep it simple. If things get worse, I'll upgrade to a better PC. Cheers!
