CS:GO involves teamwork and strategy, whereas COD is primarily a one-on-one shooter.
Sometimes I really avoid the nonsense of CSGO—like using the AK. You need to aim super precisely and fire one shot, then another, then another; other times I just don’t want to deal with most of your deaths in CoD. At least for me, CSGO and CoD are as different as CSGO and Dota: when I’m into CSGO I don’t want to play CoD, and when I want CoD I don’t want to play CSGO.
Absolutely correct. It really happened yesterday; my seven-day restriction on CS:GO was just ended, so I joined a competitive game. My team was ranked low (4), and because I wasn’t playing with them, they banned me again—another seven days off.
This situation is really frustrating... It's weird to wait two weeks without any explanation. That's why I don't play CS GO as often now.
It's just plain BS and there's nothing you can do about it. If only they had dedicated servers for those who want to drank, that way they can leave everyone else alone. Yeah 14 days for no reason...
But compared to Dota's ranking system, what do you have? A team with a terrible setup? Well, enjoy the challenge of playing against worse and worse squads. You can actually climb up even after losing in CSGO, and there are chances to win despite a weak team—though it’s definitely not simple. In Dota, if your team is bad and your feeds aren’t solid, you’re in trouble. I’ve seen myself drop from 3k to around 2.5k because of players who can’t carry or feed properly, and supports that just keep feeding themselves. The problem gets worse the lower you go—this isn’t just about obvious issues. At 3k you usually can manage a team, but at 2.5k it’s tough; they push so hard you’re basically doomed.
The selected components appear adequate for running the game. For exceeding 60 FPS, it seems you’re in good shape (especially at 1080p). However, the game still has some issues as reported. It would be wise to wait. Here’s a video showing the card in use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zn3Gjb5XavY. Your card uses only 4GB of VRAM, while you have 8GB available—so memory-wise you’re well covered. Also, it looks like the FPS generally stays above 60. By the way, you didn’t mention adding an SSD to your setup. That could help with Windows loading, which is quite common now.
CoD threads being taken over by CS:GO enthusiasts feels similar to the situation where 390 fans hijacked 970 threads... just a thought. For me, the game runs smoothly at 144 fps with all settings enabled except for texture quality, which remains affected if you upgrade. I’m using roughly 40% of each graphics card’s capacity, while the CPU stays at full speed (4790k OC’d to 4.8ghz).
