They’re not required to use SLI, and you can turn off one GPU if needed.

I'll attempt it three times, then check the outcome. You can turn off one of your GPU's via the Nvidia Control Panel!

I'm glad I could assist. A GTX 680 should handle the game fine, though support will improve once it's fully released. Also, remember that Beta 3 is still in development and no drivers have been made for it yet.

Thanks a lot! I'm planning to switch to the 980TI soon. No more dealing with that dual GPU mess, haha! I haven't even started Windows 10 yet, but I'll get it soon!

Yes, an alternative configuration could use two GTX 680 graphics cards connected together on a single board. It remains a SLI setup.
