Need assistance with a SolidWorks build?
Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a new SolidWorks PC and have my component list ready. I'm checking if everything fits well and whether the overall build stays within a reasonable budget of around 3k. If you have any advice, please let me know—air cooling seems better than water cooling in this case.
Here’s what I’m considering:
Cooler:
- Peerless Assassin 120 CPU Air Cooler with 6 heat pipes and dual 120mm TL-C12 PWM fans, aluminum heatsink cover, AGHP tech, compatible with AMD AM4 AM5, Intel LGA 1700, 1150/1200/2011/2066 (PA120).
Case:
- Fractal Design Focus 2 Black ATX mATX Mini ITX Solid Mid Tower Computer Case.
Motherboard:
- GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE AX LGA 1700 Intel Z790 ATX Board with DDR5, quad M.2 slots, PCIe 5.0, USB 3.2 Gen2X2 Type-C, Intel WiFi 6E, 2.5GbE LAN, Q-Flash Plus, PCIe EZ-Latch.
CPU:
- Intel Core i9-14900K (14th Gen, 24-core, 8P+16E, LGA 1700, 125W), Intel UHD Graphics 770.
GPU:
- PNY RTX 2000 VCNRTX2000ADA-PB 16GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 x8 workstation video card.
Power Supply:
- Corsair RMx Shift White Series, RM750x, 750W, 80 PLUS Gold certified, fully modular.
RAM:
- Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2 x 32GB), 288-pin DDR5 5600 (PC5 44800), XMP 3.0, AMD EXPO Desktop Memory Model CMK64GX5M2B5600Z40.
Storage:
- Western Digital WD_BLACK SN770 M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, up to 4 lanes, WDS200T3X0E.
Let me know your thoughts!
