I've been checking my PC and looking for tips on my poor 3DMark score. I swapped in a RX6650XT for a 3060Ti because of driver problems (video playback would crash the system when watching movies, plus weird timeouts). Apart from that, I haven't faced any other issues since setting it up. Now I mostly use a stock build except for RAM, which I've boosted to XMP since I don’t know how to overclock the original CJR 16GB chips. I have two monitors—one at 144Hz and another at 60Hz. As shown in the picture, my low score is something I could improve if you’re helpful. Specs: Ryzen 5 5600X (stock settings, PBO auto), B550 Tomahawk Wi-Fi (1.2.0.7 AGESA), 32GB RAM at 3600MHz, Corsair LPX 3060Ti (trying to see if I should undervolt it since it often hits 80°C on most games), and an EVGA G2 750W Supernova with Windows 10.
It looks like you need to adjust the description to fit the Fractal definition R5 specifications. The setup should include two front intake fans, one exhaust, and the settings should be optimized for 1080p at 144fps while maintaining stable temperatures. At 60fps it seems to help with cooling performance.
When changing from an AMD GPU to an NVIDIA GPU, make sure you use DDU before installing the new GPU drivers for your NVIDIA card. The previous AMD drivers might conflict with the new ones if they weren't removed first. DDU is the display driver uninstaller and can be found through a simple online search. If you've already done this, it's possible you're facing issues but many people overlook the need to uninstall old drivers during such switches, especially when dealing with different GPU architectures like AMD to NVIDIA or vice versa. Upgrading from an older generation card to a newer one from the same company still benefits from removing the old drivers before installing new ones.
I achieved a marginally improved result with PBO activated. My settings were PPT 110W, TDC 80W, EDC 110W. I also replaced the old faulty thermal paste on the GPU, which dried completely—CO 15 across all cores. I added +200 for maximum boost clock overdrive and set the platform thermal limit to 90°C. Still feel like I'm not performing at my best.
