hello, I am trying to get a non-ChromeOS operating system onto an old Chromebook motherboard I have, but I can't get the device into recovery mode because I don't have the original keyboard. there's no button on the motherboard that would suggest how to do it, and shorting pins on the connector for the keys didn't work either (the keyboard is one of those where the power button is integrated into the membrane) does anyone know if there's a way to flash an OS directly to the soldered EMMC? the motherboard is a "da0zhymb6e0 REV E model ZHY" I have used the crosh terminal to enable usb boot, I've done developer mode, etc. nothing I have tried, after following like thirty tutorials, has worked. If anyone knows software for writing the EMMC without taking it off the board (i.e. plugging it into another pc via usbc and using that pc to write to it) I would greatly appreciate it.

You either start from a USB drive and install or you're finished.
