Hello! Starting my first PC today! I’m using an ASRock B365M Pro4 board and an Intel i5 9400f with an RTX 2060. Everything seems to be functioning properly, but the Samsung 500GB 860 EVO SSD has been acting odd. (Yes, both SATA and power are connected.) When I first booted the BIOS, the drive appeared in the list. But during Windows installation it said it couldn’t find any drives. After reloading BIOS, the drive vanished from the list (probably scared off by background music). I checked my BIOS update and made sure the drive was properly connected. (Plugged in and unplugged) I tried installing different Samsung drivers on the flash drive for Windows. After rebooting, it appeared again—but still couldn’t be detected. I searched for the right driver in Windows, but none worked. Any suggestions? Thanks, Arty.

I'm struggling to reach the point where formatting is possible—it seems the issue lies in the setup. Yes, I moved it to my first boot priority, but I'm currently starting from a flash drive with Windows 10 installed. HOWEVER, thank you for your assistance; the drive is now working smoothly. It appears it only needed rebooting 12 times.

Did you disconnect the USB before restarting? It’s great that it’s now working. I experienced the same problem a few years back, and it happened because the boot flash drive was still plugged in.

It seems the setup halted abruptly, and the data transfer vanished... possibly due to faulty SATA or insufficient power.

It seems the way you arranged the cables would keep them functional for a while before they shift, thanks for your guidance.
