Need assistance understanding Valorant’s TPM rules?
I’ve attempted numerous YouTube tutorials on setting up TPM correctly for Valorant. Each video appears to suggest different configurations, even when referencing MSI Intel content. My system runs an MSI Z490 with an Intel i9 10G and Windows 11. I’m fairly tech-savvy but this issue is challenging. I’m open to joining a Discord session with anyone who can assist. I haven’t played Valorant in about a month and am feeling quite down. Thanks for your support.
I attempted this too, but appreciate you offering assistance. Enabling Secure Boot causes Windows to fail to start.
Secure Boot doesn't have to be turned on for TPM to function. You might experience issues if it's a legacy setup or if CSM is active. Secure Boot and TPM are compatible only with UEFI-based Windows installations. Legacy versions won't work, and you'll need to disable BIOS settings for CSM. Could you clarify whether the problem started after enabling TPM or if the BIOS prevented initial setup? Your question about where to locate the settings was likely unclear.
I have the UEFI bios files. I’m going to explore some other settings soon. I’ve been struggling nonstop for the past three hours trying to fix this issue. Please try to help me regain my focus. I’ll come back for round two shortly. Taking a screenshot of my bios configuration might assist you. Thanks a lot!
Check your system requirements. Unless you're adjusting overclocking manually or have unique BIOS configurations, reset the CMOS or reboot with default BIOS settings. Enabling TPM might resolve issues if it's disabled. Confirm whether you're running Windows 11 or Windows 10.
Hey there! I tried to watch the short video you shared, but it didn’t play. When I got this PC, it came prebuilt with a NZXT setup and was overclocked. I usually don’t like prebuilds, but it was the only option to get a GPU at the MSRP during COVID. I’m starting to feel a bit sorry about that now. Thanks for your help so far!
Your video shows TPM is already active. Checking the Valorant/Vanguard specs, Secure Boot needs to be turned on. Without it, you won’t be able to play Valorant, which is why it’s not working. Are you running Windows 11 or Windows 10? I think it’s likely Windows 11 since only that version supports these features.
