Current information is most reliable when fresh. It looks like the F16a stands for "F16 - alpha" and the latest version is simply the standard F16. Alpha likely precedes the updated release. I might be mistaken, but sticking with the latest seems sensible. Also, consider a thorough elimination method. After updating the BIOS, attempt to boot the existing Windows 10 before proceeding with a fresh install. Running through each step will aid in pinpointing the issue. It may seem time-consuming, but this is the proper way to learn troubleshooting via CompTIA. Let me know your progress! Good luck!

No, the disk volumes are not GPT and Secure Boot is not being utilized.

The installer needs to configure the MBR, but I might be mistaken. Secure boot is enabled by default now?

Current situation isn't ideal, updated to bios but it's still not resolving. I suspect the issue lies with the chipset driver, so I skipped downloading it. Then another problem appeared—I still need to install the AMD RAID preinstall driver; without it, the PC doesn't recognize my HDD. During setup I saw chipset-related warnings that could cause errors. After the installation, when I restart, it shows a blue screen and an error code "Inaccessible_Boot_Device." They say building a PC will be fun, but it's still tricky.

Review your BIOS for storage options like AHCI and test each setting one by one. Have you got Discord? I'm here to help with live tech support, and this topic sounds interesting. Plus, I might be starting a new job soon—want all the experience possible! If not, that's fine too.

I believe I don’t need further assistance anymore. I finally understood the real issue—it was just my own mistakes with the BIOS settings, picking random options hoping for a speed boost. One of them was "RAIDXpert2," which seemed impressive, so I checked it. But I only had one HD and after installing the RAID driver, Windows didn’t accept it, which was the problem. Once I installed the chipset driver, everything worked fine and my drives appeared correctly. It’s been smooth so far, though things could change. Your guidance was really helpful, thank you!

Great to hear from you! Feel free to reach out if anything else arises. I'm here to assist.

Remember, BIOS settings on Gigabyte boards can be tricky—those issues you mentioned are common. Good luck!
