Hey! I have an older system with a few components: 4960x processor, 4.5 p9x79 Wi-Fi card, 32GB RAM, and a 2300W PSU. The GPU is a GTX1080 hybrid Silent Pro M2. The CPU, RAM, and motherboard were sourced from an old high-frequency trading server. It was a good purchase (about $350 last year), but I’m not sure what’s causing the issues now. I can boot up and it usually doesn’t show any BIOS error or display. However, when I power on the PSU through the switch, it restarts and works fine in Windows. I’ve tried adding more RAM, switching the GPU, performing an OS reset, replacing the SSD, and even unplugging the 6-pin GPU connector—just to test. The problem seems to persist. I’m considering a different power supply, but I want others’ advice before buying something new, especially since I don’t want to spend a lot on a PSU that might just sit idle. Thanks in advance! I also read it’s a good idea to disconnect the 6-pin connector to the GPU and then reconnect to see if it resolves the issue. Hope this helps!
