It's just taking longer and I've used it for a long time, so I'd also prefer to remove all the unnecessary stuff from my computer.

You could simply reinstall Windows, but without understanding the issues with your system or having any specific knowledge about it, I can't ensure it will improve performance.

Reset is a lighter alternative to a full reinstall. It restores the software and Windows configurations while keeping your files intact, even in personal folders. A complete reinstall would delete those files or relocate them to an old Windows version.
