We manage several tables accessed via the Sap business one program, undergoing frequent updates such as invoice processing and record creation. The data isn't large, but reporting is becoming time-consuming and some queries need improvement. We aim to enhance performance by upgrading to better hardware. Optimizing the code isn’t possible right now since it’s outsourced, but we can assist with more modern components. I believe switching to DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz or higher would significantly improve speed compared to the current 1333MHz.

Here’s a more concise version:
The current setup costs a lot for small improvements. Are you aware of the SQL licensing fees per core? Have you factored that into your budget?

It seems the faster the CPU clock speed, the better performance tends to be. Adding more cores doesn't always match this trend.
