I recently installed an ASUS B450 motherboard and downloaded the driver onto a separate flash drive. After updating the BIOS, the computer went black. I was worried and restarted it, which led to a recovery update screen indicating my H500 NZXT case. I couldn’t reset it. Now I have another flash drive and am downloading the driver again. Should I use this new one instead of the old one? I’m really nervous about turning off the power completely.
Right. Well it's asking for the motherboard Disk which has the bios recovery file built right in. However, if you are using a 3000 series chip on this board and flash that recovery bios, it may be likely that you will loose the support for the current cpu you are using unless it's a 2000 series or older gen. You can try and restart the PC and flash the bios again. But leave it alone to do it's thing even on a black screen after you've started the update process. (It takes minutes to flash bios) GL
This stage won’t damage the system since you’ve already reset the BIOS by turning off and back on your PC. Follow the instructions carefully: retrieve the appropriate recovery BIOS file for your motherboard, save it to a USB drive, and restart using that drive. Observe the outcome.
