Need assistance identifying an issue!
Hello there. I’m trying to assemble my computer and faced some issues. I bought components from a seller on Facebook who misled me about the quality. After some adjustments in the BIOS, the system stopped showing any output. I haven’t installed a case yet, just wanted to test everything. When I power it on, the CPU fan starts but there’s no display. I suspect the graphics card might be faulty, especially since it’s an older AMD model. My current specs are: motherboard – Chinese Atermiter X79 (LGA 2011), CPU – Intel Xeon E5 2620 server, RAM – four 4GB DDR3 sticks, graphics – AMD Radeon HD 5750, power supply – Corsair CX 450 M (450W). I spent $300 on these parts and now repair shops charge at least $100 for a check. Anyone have advice?
I continued searching for a method to boot using single or individual RAM modules as a foundation... Returning to fundamentals. Try starting with a laptop without any additional connections. One RAM stick at a time, checking each slot individually. If it boots successfully, proceed accordingly. It’s better to assume a problem exists early on rather than jumping to conclusions about the GPU. This approach helps avoid missing potential issues and prevents unnecessary expenses later.
