Need assistance? Half a year with a strange computer.
About six months ago, while loading into a GTA 5 online game, my power went out. After restarting my computer, it was full of broken drivers and partially functioning programs. Once I reinstalled most of them, the PC started working again—sort of.
Over the past six months, many modern AAA games have experienced unusual errors. Here’s what I noticed:
Specs:
- Asus TUF Gaming X570 (WiFi) motherboard
- AMD 3700X processor
- NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super
- EVGA 500 Gold PSU
Most of the issues I observed are linked to modern AAA titles. The glitches often involve strange stuttering in graphics, regardless of settings. Distances appear blurrier, screens tear even when V-sync is on (only in GTA V), and frames keep dropping to over 3. Additionally, all Bluetooth devices disconnect after about five minutes of online play (Wreckfest only).
I think this might be a hardware problem caused by reinstalling every possible driver. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help resolve this. Feel free to ask for more details if needed.
Thermals are working properly and the usage seems normal. I have 16gb of g-skill trident 3400 Mhz and a 500GB SSD. It might be the power supply, so I'll look for a replacement to try.
Unplug everything, turn off your powersupply and take out cmos battery for about a minute or 2. Plug everything back and see if the issue is still going on. Also, you could've corrupted your OS.
