Search for instructions on installing non-steam MMORPGs on Steam Deck, Steam OS, or Linux. Focus on setting up an older game you haven’t played recently.

The term "old" has broad meanings. A game that feels old enough might need DOSbox.

It would assist to understand which game you're referring to, since the details vary by game.

It's Dragon Nest SEA in the Sea. It's a game I haven't played in over six years. My high school friends want to compete in PvP as we used to. Bringing a desktop is tough, so I'm using a Steam Deck instead. The last choice is dual boot and installing it on Windows. But I'd like to see if I can install it natively on SteamOS first.

From sources, it might work, but only if you could use SteamOS as full Linux. And even then it's complicated process of seeing if several components would come together. In short, it would require Wine or Windows. No native support nor confirmed Wine support.
