Hello everyone. I’m working on finalizing my PC build list on PCPartPicker. My first setup (FX 8350/R9 280X) is quite extensive, and I suspect the power supply has failed. I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 7700X, which was only $30 more than the Ryzen 5 7600X during the Labor Day sale last week. I’ve done thorough research but am struggling to pick the right motherboard. I’ve considered the ASRock B650 PG Lightning and the Live Mixer based on my findings, but I’m not an expert and need guidance. The only components I own are the CPU and the Fractal Design case listed below. Any advice or suggestions from someone with more experience would be invaluable. I’m open to getting an AIO instead of an air cooler if it’s affordable, but I won’t be overclocking. I’m also thinking about using 5200 RAM, though I’m unsure if adjusting speeds to 6000 will be manageable for a non-expert.

Intended Use: A regular home PC with the flexibility to play any game I want. I’m comfortable with 1080P gaming but might upgrade the monitor later. I enjoy flight simulators, racing games (like F1 titles), and EA Sports FC.

Also, I'm considering 5200 RAM since I'm uncertain about adjusting speeds to 6000 unless it's simple for a non-expert. RAM kits featuring AMD's E.X.P.O on them should be readily available in BIOS for your motherboard. Turn it on and you should be fine.

It would likely cost an additional 10 to 20 dollars for more RAM to reach the 6000 speed range, possibly around CL30.

Thank you for the details. I hope to get faster RAM quickly. Yes, I’m in the USA and I’m ready to raise my budget slightly for the RAM since I want the PC to last longer. I’m prepared to spend between $140 and $190 on the motherboard.

Review your motherboard's specifications sheet to understand its official capabilities.
Check the approved memory list for that board on Asrock to verify compatibility. It may not be required.
You could allocate around 200 dollars for a board, ideally a micro ATX model.

You wish to upgrade your setup with DDR5-6000 CL30, include a 120mm exhaust fan, and increase the PSU size.

Thanks. I've updated my parts list with the new RAM and the exhaust fan you suggested. I'll also switch the PSU next.
