I recently assembled my own computer, after many months of work. However, during intense gaming sessions my screen behaves strangely and the system restarts on its own—this doesn’t happen for me. On my end, a light indicates everything is functioning but then turns off. The only solution so far is to re-seat the CPU. My specs are: i7 12700k, i5-3080, samsung 960 evo 250gb SSD, seagate 1tb SSD, 850w power supply, 16gb vengeance RAM. I’ve ordered additional thermal paste to check if that’s the cause and plan to keep up with updates. Thanks ahead!

Welcome to the discussions. Could you clarify what you're experiencing? What does "screen goes funny" signify? And what does "restarts itself but it doesn't" imply? Please explain the exact sequence of events. Is the light you're referring to related to a hard drive activity or something different? Also, could you specify the type of cooler you're using for your CPU? Are you suggesting a routine fix where you remove the cooler, take the CPU out of its socket, reinstall it, and then replace the cooler? In future threads, could you provide more detailed titles that reflect the issue? This would help ensure relevant solutions are found.
