I've been trying to run a game called Rust, which isn't very optimized on my system. It's hard to maintain more than 50 frames per second, so I'm not sure if the issue is with my RAM or CPU. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 1600, a 6-core processor at 3.2 GHz, and a Ryzen Wraith Spire cooler. The GPU is an ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1070, and I'm using a HyperX Fury 16GB RAM module, an MSI B350 SSD, a 250GB WD Blue 1TB drive, and a NZXT S340 Elite case in red and black.
Distance appears to be a significant issue because I notice high performance near the shore while lower frame rates are observed on the main land where large bases are situated.
Consider checking out a first-person shooter guide. It looks like this game has significant performance problems in many areas.
It's interesting how my cousin's setup still runs at 80 FPS despite having a less powerful PC.
What type of RAM are you using? What is its speed? Does it function correctly in a dual-channel setup or is it a single stick?
I think it’s a 2400hz system with 8GB RAM and 4GBx2 storage but runs on an Intel Core i5. I’ve always believed Ryzen processors require significantly more performance.
Consider increasing the RAM frequency and see how it affects performance.
