I attempted to use several maintenance codes, but the printer still can't release air from the head. I'm stuck and need it to function properly.

Perform printer head cleaning for colors repeatedly. Access the menu options. Reset the counter or proceed with the task.

It could happen either way, but drying an inkjet printer fully often blocks the nozzle with solid particles.
